MV Agusta presents the new Superveloce 800 Inspired by the F3 800
A few weeks after the return of the Brutale 1000 RR, MV Agusta developed a new model: the Superveloce 800. Presented in a prototype at the 2018 edition of Eicma, the new bike was designed starting from the technical base of the F3 800, but it turns towards a retro taste full of details. Between references to the past and technology, the latest MV Agusta model revolutionizes the idea of the classic-inspired motorcycle: destined to become a milestone in the history of the Italian company, both for its innovative contents and for its exclusive design, the Superveloce 800 celebrates in a contemporary key the glorious history of the company, born in 1945 in Varese with the name of Meccanica Verghera Agusta.
From a mechanical point of view, the engine already seen on the F3 800 does not change: 798 cc with counter-rotating crankshaft and double camshaft, capable of delivering 148 HP of power at 13,000 rpm with a torque of 88 Nm at 10,600 rpm / min. With two terminals on the right side and one on the left side, the Superveloce 800 touches 153 horsepower at 13,250 rpm.
Finally, the control panel derives from that of the Brutale 1000 Series Gold, assembled from a compact TFT 5” color panel. Access to the menus is immediate thanks to the multi-function joystick on the left block and the special switches. The instrumentation manages a large number of functions, including incoming phone calls, messages and music, all thanks to the Bluetooth connection to the smartphone, as well as compatibility with the MV Ride app.
