2025 in trends, month by month Fashion forecasts according to the Heuritech AI-driven platform
January is a special month for fashion and for those who study it. Particularly for trend forecasters, analysts specialized in researching social and cultural phenomena and how these can influence runways and consumer tastes. Each year is marked by key events that can change people's preferences, whether positively (think of an economic boom) or negatively (such as a crisis). It's rare for the trends of a particular year to resemble those of the previous one: for this reason, in January, trend forecasters must be ready for anything. To celebrate the arrival of 2025, the AI-powered forecasting company Heuritech has prepared a trend calendar for the new year, analysing which items, patterns, or silhouettes consumers might prefer month by month.
In November, sports are back in focus with riding boots, which are set to see a total popularity increase of 63% during the final stretch of 2025. «Riding boots have long been associated with the English upper class, a symbol of sophistication, tradition, and affinity with equestrian culture,» writes Heuritech. Following the rise of aesthetics like English Frazzled Girl, riding boots represent «the fusion between outdoor-inspired clothing and a distinctly British sense of refinement and nostalgia.» 2025 ends with the return of fur, which throughout the year is expected to grow even more than in 2024, achieving a 25% increase in popularity. Snow boots will also participate in the trend, attracting even more attention than the previous winter, with a total growth of 7%. In summary: this year, vintage will continue to hold us firmly in its grasp, taking us to the free-love era of the '70s and the rom-coms of the early 2000s. Meanwhile, we'll take breaks at the seaside or on a golf or rugby field in the company of boat shoes and polo shirts.
