Ten trends who will rule 2025 Goodbye Bloke Core, welcome back Boho Chic
In the world of trend forecasting, there are countless ways to discover the styles of upcoming seasons. Until recently, forecasters relied only on street style and Fashion Week shows. Now, they have access to numerous cutting-edge tools designed to predict what will trend in the coming year with great precision, such as artificial intelligence and computer-based analysis of social platforms. Heuritech is a forecasting company that has turned AI into a powerful tool, capable of detecting trends well in advance with support from specialized fashion insiders. This week, the company shared the 2025 market trend report, a top 10 list of looks that will dominate runways and street style worldwide. Leading the list is "Boho Chic Suede," Heuritech reports, present in both clothing and accessories. During the SS25 menswear shows, the platform observed a 13% increase in suede, and for womenswear, future increases of 17% are projected for next year. The bohemian aesthetic is set for a surge in searches at the start of the new year, with an expected 30% rise in traffic for suede loafers.
Although the top three trends lean toward a more elegant and sophisticated style, sportswear is also present. According to Heuritech's forecast, it ranks fifth, shifting toward a softer and gentler look. Compared to last spring, the report anticipates a 25% increase in searches for sweatpants, almost reminiscent of lockdown days. Following the sporty-chic trend, the polo takes sixth place, with a projected peak growth of +22% in the year's early months for more fitted styles. Next is animal print, which remains one of the most beloved trends and is expected to receive a 92% surge in attention in 2025 compared to this year. Completing Heuritech's top 10 are flip-flop sandals, which had already marked their presence with the return of the Y2K aesthetic on runways, as well as strapless dresses and asymmetric sets, beloved by brands known for clean, refined elegance like Bottega Veneta and Alaïa.
