If rappers' houses were movie sets Drake's mansion for a 'Scarface' remake and Kanye's for a hype version of '2001: A Space Odyssey'

If you have an Amazon Prime Video subscription you must have seen at least passing Coming 2 America, the sequel to the film in which Eddie Murphy plays the king of a fictional country in search of a wife in America. To create Prince Akeem's royal palace, the production team chose rapper Rick Ross's home as the ideal location to create Zamunda's royal apartments, transforming the twelve-bedroom villa into a royal mansion with lots of Eddie Murphy's shirtless royal portraits. Ross's mega-villa in Atlanta is just one of the many extravagant houses in the rap world, perfect settings for any type of film thanks to their exaggerated aesthetic and overly sophisticated designs.

Whatever your taste in movies, you can be sure that the world of rap, with its exaggeration and love of luxury, is ready to lend itself to any plot. Whether it's a thriller, a comedy, or a science fiction film, there is no genre that cannot find a setting within the walls of Drake or Kanye West's home: incredible millio-dollar mansions, often more expensive than a Hollywood movie and equally distant from ours daily, from our 30sqm rented with a 4+4 contract.
