Leica: when heritage is a bridge to the future A new M10-D camera and a renewed portfolio of digital platforms are on the way
Great excitement at Leica house. The European company presents a renewed portfolio of services, which includes the Leica Akademie, Leica Club and Leica Store Online and Certified by Leica platforms, as well as a new camera model that brings analogue experience into the world of digital photography. In fact, if it were not for the digital sensor inside, M10-D would seem to have come out of the 50s. After eliminating the LCD screen on the back and the film advance lever (now a removable thumb support, to the advantage of greater maneuverability), the product just arrived in the shops has a decidedly vintage design that allows the photographer to focus exclusively on the parameters essential for creating the image: aperture, shutter speed and focus. Of course, the look is retro, but do not be fooled because the machine hides modern and technologically advanced details like an additional Visoflex electronic viewfinder; a tilt function to shoot from a variety of angles; Integrated Wi-Fi that can be activated directly with the setting wheel on the back of the device.
