The two concepts of the new stadium in Milan have been unveiled Designed by Populous and Manica / Sportium for Inter and Milan

Milan and Inter have unveiled two new concepts, designed by Populous and Manica/Sportium for the conversion of the current Giuseppe Meazza stadium and the creation of a sports and entertainment district in the San Siro area.

Following the news last September in which it was said that the two Milanese companies had agreed to build a new stadium, rather than investing in an expensive redevelopment of the current San Siro, two projects were chosen for the construction of a new stadium to be 60,000 places to be built alongside the "Meazza". Following a dialogue carried out with the Municipality of Milan and by the City Council - which began in November 2019 - in which all the conformities for the implementation of the project were presented, the two companies were able to reveal the first images of the projects.

Both concepts would lead to an evolution of the neighborhood with a clear mark in favor of the next generations, with cutting-edge systems for its low environmental impact and high sustainability, creating a new meeting place for social and recreational activities in the Neighborhood. In addition, the ambitious project would generate thousands of new jobs and act as a cornerstone for the future development of the city of Milan and Italian football.
