Virgil Abloh's football was all over the Art Basel in Miami Nike and Off-White organized several activities about the beautiful game

Recently, we had the chance to talk about the Art Basel - the biggest international modern and contemporary art showcase in Miami Beach - where designer Mike Cherman realized a shirt inspired by Ray Allen’s shot technique for Nike. Today, though, the protagonist is, maybe not so surprisingly, football, that found a great endorser in Virgil Abloh, founder of Off-White that a while ago teamed up with Nike to produce some football shirts for charity.

Later, Abloh played a 7vs7 friendly game at the Brickell’s Soccer Rooftop, a football pitch on the top of a building in Downtown Miami. It must’ve been the coolest game ever, as other Virgil there also was Skepta, and Slam Jam’s Luca Benini and Luca Ferrari. Of course, they played with Off-White branded jerseys.

Football probably hasn’t had that much visibility on American soil before, at least in the world of fashion. Nike and Off-White, though, are aiming football and its aesthetic, so it’s legit to wait some more news for 2018. And yes, we want to see the Off-White x Nike Tiempo Legend.
