adidas x MLS "Parley for the Oceans" kits After the kits realized for Real and Bayern, the three stripes team up with the MLS to fight oceans' pollution
Last November, we’ve told you about adidas’ green turns, as they realized special kits in collaboration with Parley for the Oceans for its top clubs Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, in order to raise awareness on ocean waste pollution.
Now the three stripes came back with a prestigious collaboration with US’ Major League Soccer. adidas, in fact, realized four special kits for as much MLS’ clubs, all entirely made of plastic collected from the oceans and characterized by a particular white and gray coloration. Plastic was collected by Parley clean-up operations in costal areas of the Maldives, it was reworked into technical fibers and used for apparel and footwear.
“We are very proud to be working with a new partner in MLS and its participating teams to enforce the usage, messaging and awareness around the beauty and fragility of the Oceans,” said Michael Batz, adidas Vice President of Product, Global Brands, Soccer. “Our core brand belief is that through sport, we have the power to change lives and feel that MLS is an ideal partner to transport and establish this belief in soccer".
adidas’ “green vein” looks far from over and we’re glad about that, as all the kits made in collaboration with Parley for the Oceans are really stunning.
