The relaxed and sensual elegance of the new Givenchy Plage collection Inspired by the natural beauty of the French Riviera and the refined lifestyle of Hubert de Givenchy
The new summer collection from Givenchy, called Givenchy Plage, was previewed for fall 2023 and draws inspiration from Hubert de Givenchy's beachwear heritage and his elegant retreat on the French Riviera. The capsule collection, which includes ready-to-wear clothing and accessories for both the city and the beach, celebrates the refined lifestyle and soft colors of Le Clos Fiorentina, Hubert de Givenchy's seaside estate in Saint Jean Cap Ferrat.
Linen, one of the couturier's favorite materials, is knitted into bikinis and cover-ups in black or sandy beige, accompanied by a fisherman hat or the season's Givenchy raffia tote. Two prints dating back to 1955 are reimagined for Givenchy's contemporary customers. Trompe l'oeil pearls return on a caftan, sarong, or bright pink dress, and on a transparent t-shirt; a theme echoed in pink and pearl on a handbag or canvas beach sneakers. The collection also includes essential accessories such as the straw basket version of Givenchy's new Voyou bag, Marshmallow wedges, and the classic G-Tote shopper. Sporty mesh duffel bags, sneakers, and a fisherman hat in cool gray tones complete the theme. Overall, the Givenchy Plage collection offers a range of elegant and sensual summer pieces that bridge the gap between the beach and the city.
