Tim Walker guests at Design Week with Tod's The Art of Craftsmanship A project tracing the deep history of the italian brand
On the occasion of Design Week, Tod's has invited British photographer Tim Walker to take part in The Art of Craftsmanship. Developed as an offline and online exhibition, the project will be on view April 20-22 at the Cavallerizze of the Leonardo Da Vinci National Museum of Science and Technology. At the end of Design Week, the project will begin a journey around the world, touching on the most relevant cities in the international art scene. The images taken by Tim Walker portray in an ironic and fantastic way the history of Tod's, as only he knows how to do by surrealistically transforming all the products that have made the brand an icon of its time: from the Di Bag to the Gommino, treating each object as a means to express all the wisdom, craftsmanship, and culture that envelops the brand.
This is an exceptional opportunity to learn more about Tod's past and to admire up close the photographic works of a world-renowned artist who has entered fashion history as one of the most fascinating voices of this century. «The Italian lifestyle and great craftsmanship are core values for Tod's," said Diego Della Valle, the brand's CEO, "and having Tim Walker tell them allows us to transmit these values also to the world of young people by speaking their language.»
