The varsity jacket by COMME des GARÇONS x Stussy Available from January 15

Stussy's turning 40. The brand founded by Shawn Stussy in Laguna Beach in 1980 is celebrating with a series of special drops and the first is the result of a collaboration with COMME des GARÇONS.

Together the two partners revisit an iconic item in the history of American fashion: the varsity jacket. The new garment is made of black melton wool, lined with satin, embellished with chenille patches and features an oversized fit and stretch sleeves. What makes the jacket special, however, are the many decorative elements that recall the history of the two brands: both the logos of COMME des GARÇONS and Stussy are embroidered on the right chest; the left side is decorated with the logo of the double S of the Californian company; a central patch on the back shows an abstract figure with a surfboard next to the writing "CDG"; while on the sleeves there is Stussy's bucket hat and COMME des GARÇONS bottle of perfume.
