adidas Originals celebrates the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall With the release of the ZX8000 “A Better Berlin Since 1989” pack

Thirty years ago the Berlin Wall was torn down, marking the end of the Cold War, the union of the two Germanies, the opening of international borders and the beginning of a better era for the whole world. On the occasion of this important anniversary, adidas Originals presents the ZX8000 Pack "A Better Berlin Since 1989", which includes two pairs of ZX8000 sneakers in four different reiterations.

Every detail of this release is a tribute to that historical era. Starting from the sneaker model, the ZX8000, very popular in Germany, up to the choice of adding a second pair of shoes. This addition is, in fact, a reference to the Begrüßungsgeld, the gift of 100 marks that the Western German Federal Republic offered to visitors from East Berlin after the fall of the Wall. The fact that each shoe is different from the other is instead a call to the unification of diversity. Each of the shoes also has an exclusive symbol on the heel that represents the concepts of Equality, Individuality, Freedom and Unity. "Double the shoe, double the love" is the message that the ZX8000 Pack "A Better Berlin Since 1989" transmits.

The ZX8000 Pack "A Better Berlin Since 1989" will drop in pre-launch on Overkill starting November 2nd, while the official release will take place at selected Adidas retailers from November 9th and on the page dedicated to the Pack on the adidas website.
