nss London Fashion Week FW19 Awards And the winner is...
The spotlight turns off London Fashion Week, which for this season hasn't gifted us with really mindblowing shows. At the top of the fashion game we still find Riccardo Tisci at Burberry - the only convincing show for us - and Victoria Beckham, who seems to have finally found her aesthetic identity. We were quite disappointed at JW Anderson, except for the accessories section, even though there won't be any new Converse collaboration in the next future.
London gave us the image of a woman that is intrinsically dualistic: sometimes she wants to highlight her feminine and romantic side, as at Simone Rocha and Huishan Zhang, while other times she'd rather be seen as a strong, confident and contemporary woman, like at TOGA and Natasha Zinko.
As is tradition, it's time to give out our very own nss Fashion Awards. Discover all the winners here.
Best Show: Burberry
Molly Goddard staged her show at Durbar Court, within the Foreign Office in King Charles Street in London. The architectural masterpiece of Matthew Digby Wyatt, opened to the public in 1867, is a triumph of marbles, doric and ionic columns as well as granite details. The perfect background to bring out Goddard's colorful and over the top creations.
Best Front Row: Victoria Beckham
Double win for Miss David Beckham, but for this one the credit goes to her daughter Harper, who watched her mother's show sitting alongside with Anna Wintour, debuting a fresh new haircut very similar to the one of the dreadful Vogue director. Instagram reacted immediately with a series of hilarious memes.
