Moncler Genius releases their 2 MONCLER 1952 collection A rich mountain past gets a modern twist
We have been closely following the unfolding Genius Project from Moncler, which sees seven designers creating a unique capsule collection each that has been drip dropping over the summer and now fall season. Starting with Hiroshi Fujiwara, then Kei Ninomiya, both of which nss had the pleasure to interview. Next up saw the turn of the forward pushing designs of Craig Green, and the turn has now come to 2 MONCLER 1952
Two-tone textures or colorfully graphic mosaic patterns and Navaho motifs on both jackets and capes warrant even further attention as these classics are reborn for a new age. The collection at its foundation still remembers its mountain past with outerwear, jumpers, and padded scarves, defined by a sports attitude, on the whole. Legendary ski-resorts such as Sankt Moritz, Aspen, Gstaad, Zermatt, and Megève are spelled out in loud patches featured on T-shirts and sweatshirts, with a nod towards the eighties culture with embossed comic strips.
