A closer look at Virgil Abloh's shoes for Louis Vuitton We were expecting better
Now that the incredible hype that surrounded the first Louis Vuitton show under the reins of new creative director Virgil Abloh has settled down a bit we wanted to take a closer look at the new range of footwear that Alboh has designed for the French fashion house. Quite old school in its presentation the range can loosely be broken down into a basketball shoe, and tennis shoe low-top, a track shoe, and one let us say higher-fashion shoe.
Finally, we arrive at the high fashion sneaker, the high top silhouette, with its strap and chain link detail, does look quite aesthetically pleasing but must be very impractical in use.
In general, we need to voice our disappointment with Abloh’s first shoe line for LV, especially when we know how much better he can be, ripping off old models too much, this can be done better!
