In 2001, after only one year of activity, Nike proposed to Hommayo to collaborate and to create together for the very first time an Air Max 1.
The choice was targeted: the silhouette of the Air Max was going to the largest in Tokyo, and every Japanese sneakerhead owned at least a pair. The collaboration was kept secret until the time of the launch, even Nike Japan was not aware of it, but the sneaker had such a huge success that it went immediately sold out.
