Rick Owens FW18: unconventional is fashion - A men's collection that goes beyond the common "beautiful"

Once again, stereotypes about beauty are questioned. Rick Owens still has to say his opinion!

During this last Paris Fashion Week, the well-known American designer has presented a real show, not only a fashion exhibition but a real exhibition of contemporary art. The shapes of the dresses move independently, they seem to take life on their own, expanding and wrapping up the bodies of the models that, despite their quick step on the catwalk, can not move the clothes from their "static".

The latest FW18 Men's collection is an open war against the aesthetic canons, against clothes that "enhance the figure", against what is more commonly called "beautiful". The dark, neutral shades, dominate the catwalk, from the black to gray, from white to mud. There're overlays, volumes on volumes, exaggerated lengths, asymmetrical cuts.

All of this is Rick Owens, all this is represent a changing world, it is not afraid to do it, because going against the current is synonymous of creativity in the fashion system and Mr. Owens knows exactly where to go.
