5 vintage furniture shops in Milan When interior design is an obsession

In addition to being the capital city of fashion, Milan is a city of design. Beyond the galaxy of brands, manufacturers and designers that animate the cultural scene of the city, the houses and warehouses of each neighbourhood collect an enormous quantity of design objects and vintage furniture that, periodically, appear in flea markets, second-hand shops and design stores specializing in archival pieces. These markets and vintage furniture shops are a real resource for those who, eager to add a touch of personality to their home, want to find a practical and cheap alternative to both the mega-producers of standardized/industrial furniture and the greedy designer shops that populate the city centre. Not even mentioning how fun it is to browse through the old warehouses to finally find that perfect object for our living room.

So here are 5 flea markets and design stores where you can buy vintage furniture in Milan.

DADA is one of the best places in via Sottocorno, a mystical place in Milan that is teeming with gastronomic and design excellence. The proposal of this shop is closer to the curated design shop than to the bazaar, but the care and precision of the proposed archive, the fineness of the goods and also the range of prices leave ample room for doing gold deals.

Via Pasquale Sottocorno, 5/A

#3 Dejà Vu – Milano

Neighbourhood marketplace, although peripheral, Dejà Vu hides various treasures in the middle of its shelves. From 1950s furniture to lamps, through vinyl and vintage bags, but really including everything, this shop represents the unexpected detour that will take place on Saturday afternoon.

Via Ragusa, 12
20125 Milan MI

Magnificent little shop in East Milan, equidistant from Porta Venezia and the Bar Basso, and also close to the legendary sushi restaurant Poporoya, Curiosity of yesteryear also collects curious and bizarre objects - but the magnificence is the lamps and the design chairs. Like all the other places on this list, it would be wise to visit this shop several times, to be surprised from time to time by the novelty of its selection.
