The Caterpillar House is the real star of 'Malcolm & Marie' A unique project between the ocean and the Californian hills
In addition to the performances by Zendaya and John David Washington, the third protagonist of Malcolm & Marie is the Caterpillar House by the American studio Feldman Architecture.
The team of architects wanted to create a contemporary home which, however, embraces May's own style, giving importance to the spaces and the connection with the outside thanks to the huge windows that surround the house for almost its entire perimeter. It is precisely this, which stretches from west to east of the property, which gave the project the Caterpillar name. A non-random choice that of Sam Levinson, who in addition to having chosen it for its unique beauty, also wanted the Caterpillar House for its practicality: the house has in fact an adjacent cottage that was able to accommodate the crew throughout the production of the film inside a protected bubble to comply with anti-contagion security measures.
